Coach Ken Barrett: A Russellville Legend

Coach Ken Barrett was a Russellville Legend.  He coached RHS football from 1976 to 1997 and was inducted to the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) Hall of Fame in 1996. In 2017, the field at Rhea Stadium was named Ken Barrett Field in 2017. 
 
Under his leadership, the Panthers won Class A State Titles in 1980, 1983, and 1990.  Even after retirement, football players are still given a pep talk by Coach Ken Barrett who came to speak in December 2021 to the Panther football team before their trip to the state championship game at Kroger Field. 
 
Coach Barrett will truly be missed.  Our thoughts are with his family and all those who are grieving.
